WOLF.E by Paisley Hope – Brooklyn Biker Romance Bliss (and My Favourite Souvenir)

Alright, confession time: this was a total cover buy.
I was in the US last month and, after a bit of gentle persuasion (read: relentless badgering), I convinced my husband to take me to The Ripped Bodice in Brooklyn. If you’re a romance reader, you know—it’s the dream. All pink shelves, unapologetically swoony displays, and the kind of curated chaos that feels like walking into your own personalised TBR pile.
That’s where I found WOLF.E by Paisley Hope. I hadn’t heard of it before, but the cover was moody, bold, and practically dared me to pick it up. So I did—no hesitation, no blurb-read, just pure gut instinct and a suitcase that was already crying for mercy. (As an Australian, you bet I went to Walmart!!)
And look, they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but I absolutely did—and I’m so glad. It’s probably my favourite souvenir from the whole trip. Though if I could have brought home cake I would have – From Lucie in the East Village is to die for!
WOLF.E is an MC romance with teeth. Gritty, raw, and just the right amount of emotional wreckage. Wolf is one of those brooding, dangerous types with layers you want to peel back slowly, and the heroine doesn’t take his crap. The chemistry’s electric, the pacing sharp, and it hits that delicious balance between steamy, tense, and surprisingly heartfelt. There’s danger and loyalty and just enough chaos to make you feel like you’re part of the ride.
Even better? It turns out this is part of a series (cue flappy hands), and I’ve heard it’s about to be traditionally published—so I’m extra smug about having one of the original indie paperbacks. There’s something special about getting in early, you know?
Since then, I’ve started working my way through Paisley Hope’s back catalogue. While nothing’s hit quite as hard or stuck with me the same way, I’ve genuinely enjoyed the ride. There’s a confidence in her writing, a bit of grit, and that perfect escapist quality that makes her books ideal for curling up with after a long day.
If you’re into MC romance that doesn’t rely on clichés, and characters who’ll haunt you a little bit after the last page, give WOLF.E a go.
And if you’re ever in Brooklyn, do yourself a favour and stop by The Ripped Bodice. Let your partner carry the bags while you pretend you haven’t just adopted five new fictional boyfriends. Worth it.
