Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage

After thoroughly enjoying Lyla Sage’s previous works, I eagerly picked up Lost and Lassoed, the third installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. While I didn’t love this one as much as Done and Dusted or Swift and Saddled, it still had plenty of cowboy charm and heartfelt moments to keep me turning the pages.

The story brings together Teddy Andersen, a free spirit in search of a fresh start, and Gus Ryder, a single dad trying to keep his ranch and family together. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic was fun, though it didn’t grab me quite like the previous books. Still, Gus’s steady, protective nature and Teddy’s spark made them an enjoyable pair.

And while I may not have been as swept away by this one, Lost and Lassoed still found its way onto my shelf. Despite Mr. Quintana declaring I couldn’t bring any more books into the house (understandable, since I’ve donated over 300 to charity recently), he kindly bought me a paperback copy anyway. What can I say? He gets me.

If you’ve been following the Rebel Blue Ranch series, this one is worth a read for the familiar faces, small-town charm, and gorgeous cover art. While it wasn’t my personal favorite, Lyla Sage still delivers the heartwarming cowboy romance that makes this series loved by half of TikTok.
